[ LEARNING SPACES & CLASSROOM INFRASTRUCTURE ]
Every classroom at Talent Shapers has been designed with a single goal: to maximise the conditions for deep, focused, and uninterrupted learning. Rooms are adequately sized, well-ventilated, and fitted with quality furniture scaled to the age group they serve — from child-height tables in our Early Years block to laboratory-configured workstations in our JSS science rooms.
Natural light is prioritised throughout. Large windows, open eave ventilation, and orientation away from street noise ensure that our learning environments remain calm, well-lit, and comfortable across all weather conditions. Each classroom has dedicated display wall space for learner work — because visible evidence of learning is a powerful motivator and accountability tool.
Classroom capacity is managed tightly. We do not oversubscribe. Every class maintains an appropriate teacher-to-learner ratio so that every child receives the attention, correction, and encouragement they deserve throughout the school day.
Large windows and open eave design maintain bright, well-aerated spaces throughout the school day in all weather conditions.
Strict enrolment caps per class maintain optimal teacher-to-learner ratios, ensuring every child receives meaningful individual attention.
Age-appropriate desks, chairs, and storage units are fitted to each tier — from child-height tables in KG to lab workstations in JSS.
Every classroom features display walls for learner work, curriculum maps, and motivational content — making learning visible, valued, and celebrated.

[ SCIENCE LABORATORIES & TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE ]
JSS Interactive Science Laboratory
Core Facility
Our dedicated JSS science laboratory is fitted with individual workstations, reagent storage, safety equipment, and the consumables necessary to deliver Kenya's JSS integrated science curriculum at full practical depth. Learners conduct experiments in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from Grade 7 onwards — building scientific method, hypothesis testing, and experimental reporting skills alongside every unit of theoretical instruction.
ICT instruction, digital literacy, and introductory coding are delivered through our dedicated technology lab. Learners access structured modules in computational thinking, internet literacy, spreadsheet tools, and basic programming logic from Grade 4 upwards. The lab is also used for research projects and extended writing across all JSS subjects.
Our school library holds a curated collection of Kenya CBC-aligned textbooks, supplementary readers, reference materials, and age-appropriate fiction for independent reading. The resource centre is open daily for class visits, individual reading time, and teacher-guided research sessions across all tiers.
Expanding Infrastructure — Horizon 2026
Talent Shapers is actively planning additional laboratory capacity, a dedicated creative arts studio, and an expanded library wing as part of our phased infrastructure development programme.

[ CAMPUS SAFETY & CHILD SAFEGUARDING ]
When you entrust a child to our care, you are extending the most fundamental act of parental trust possible. We do not take that lightly. Every safety decision at Talent Shapers — from our campus location, to our perimeter design, to our access protocols and our staff vetting procedures — has been made with one overriding priority: the absolute physical and emotional safety of every learner on our grounds.
Our campus in Mwendantu is fully perimeter-fenced with a single controlled access point. Visitor entry is managed by staff at all times. No child is released to any person not on the authorised pick-up register. All teaching and support staff undergo background verification and hold current child safeguarding training certificates.
A trained Safeguarding Lead is present on campus every school day. An up-to-date Child Safeguarding Policy governs all staff conduct, incident reporting protocols, and parent communication standards — and is available to all enrolled families upon request.
One managed access point with daily visitor log. No unauthorised persons enter the campus at any time during the school day.
Every learner has a named, photo-verified pick-up register. Children are only released to listed guardians, or on receipt of a verified written and verbal authorisation.
A designated Safeguarding Lead is on campus every school day, responsible for all child protection concerns, incident documentation, and parent liaison on safety matters.
Parents can reach the school office directly at any time during school hours. A dedicated pastoral care WhatsApp line is provided to all enrolled families at the start of each term.
[ CATERING & NUTRITIONAL SERVICES ]
A well-nourished child learns better. Our school dining programme is built on this simple, evidence-based truth — providing hot, balanced, hygienic meals every school day.
Our on-campus catering service provides freshly prepared, hot, and nutritionally balanced meals to all enrolled learners each school day. Meals are cooked on-site by our catering team using quality local ingredients — prioritising wholesome, high-energy food that sustains learner concentration and physical activity across the full school day.
The school dining area is clean, well-ventilated, and supervised by staff. Mealtimes are treated as part of the school routine — an opportunity for learners to practise table manners, communal responsibility, and orderly conduct alongside their peers. Hygiene protocols are maintained to the highest standard throughout food preparation, serving, and clean-up.
Freshly prepared hot lunch served on-site each school day. Menus rotate weekly to ensure dietary variety and nutritional balance.
All food handlers hold valid food hygiene certifications. Kitchen and dining areas are cleaned and sanitised to strict standards before and after each service.
All meals are taken under staff supervision, reinforcing table etiquette, communal responsibility, and orderly school culture as part of the daily learning experience.
Early Years learners receive a supervised mid-morning snack in addition to lunch — supporting the energy and focus requirements of young developing brains.
School Dining Hall — Clean, Supervised & Nutritious
Parents with children who have specific dietary requirements, food allergies, or medical nutritional needs should inform the school office at the time of enrolment. We accommodate reasonable medical dietary needs in consultation with parents.
[ FLORA, LANDSCAPING & OUTDOOR LEARNING ENVIRONMENT ]
The Talent Shapers campus is not just a built environment — it is a living, breathing landscape that our learners are taught to care for, learn from, and appreciate.

School Garden & Plant Beds
Shade Trees & Rest Areas
The green environment of our Mwendantu campus is one of the most visible expressions of our institutional values. We chose this location deliberately — away from the noise, congestion, and air quality of the town centre — to give our learners the restorative experience of a genuinely green, clean, and calm campus.
Lawns are maintained, trees are planted and cared for, garden beds are cultivated by learners as part of the Environmental Activities curriculum — and the broader grounds are kept clean, orderly, and reflective of the pride we take in our shared environment. Environmental custodianship is not just a curriculum subject at Talent Shapers. It is a lived daily practice.
Our outdoor spaces also serve active pedagogical purposes: Environmental Activities lessons take place on the grounds, science observation walks are structured across our green areas, and the play areas for younger learners are specifically designed to support gross motor development alongside unstructured restorative play.
Maintained green lawns across the campus provide open outdoor spaces for breaks, physical education, and environmental learning throughout the year.
Learners tend dedicated garden plots as part of Environmental Activities — growing vegetables, herbs, and ornamental plants while building ecological responsibility.
Located away from town traffic and industrial areas, our campus enjoys genuinely clean, fresh air — a significant and intentional advantage for developing lungs and concentration.
Environmental custodianship is woven into the school's core values. Learners take active responsibility for keeping the campus clean, planting trees, and reducing waste throughout the year.
[ SPORTS GROUNDS & PHYSICAL EDUCATION SPACES ]
At Talent Shapers, physical development is not a break from learning — it is an integral component of our holistic educational model. Our campus grounds include dedicated sports and physical activity spaces for all tiers, from the supervised play areas used by our Early Years learners to the multi-purpose sports ground used for organised athletics, football, volleyball, and fitness training by our Primary and JSS learners.
Structured Physical and Health Education (PHE) sessions are timetabled for all year groups across all three terms. We also participate in inter-school sports competitions at the sub-county, county, and regional levels — giving our learners the experience of competitive sport under structured, disciplined conditions.
